It's only fitting that Picture Of The Week returns with a picture taken by award winning photographer Ted Attard.

In memory of Fred Sherri (President Of Festa San Gorg Association Toronto), this week's photo feauters the wooden statue of St.George, just before the procession in Qormi Malta held every last Sunday in June each year.

During these cold days in Canada we try to warm up our sprits, we can only dream of what happens in the hot summer days in Gozo every third week in July of each year.

Congratulations to Glen Vella and Pamela for their placing finalists in the Malta Song For Europe 2010. We all remember just a short while ago in April 2009 during Festa Gorgjana 2009, the fantastic “Exclusive Show” full of energy that this dynamic duo performed solo and duet tunes of mostly Maltese popular songs.
Friends Of La Stella Canada would like to extend our support and wish both Glen & Pamela success in their entry for the Malta Song For Europe 2010.

A grand 39th Anniversary Concert by Malta Band Club for H.G. Archbishop Paul Cremona visiting from Malta. The well attentended event by local Maltese living in Metropolitan Toronto and by local clubs and associations, especially Friends Of La Stella Canada.
The highlight of the evening was the closing number and the first ever performance of "Innu Lill-Mons Guzeppi De Piro" composed by Mro. Sunny Galea former assistant Band Director of La Stella Band Victoria Gozo and now Band Director of Ghajnsielem's St. Joseph Band.
